We Are Back

We just got back from South Africa

We Prayed at the main synagogue of Cape Town on Friday night and performed in a show for the organization "OR" last Sunday, OR means light in Hebrew and those amazing people bringing light and strength to Israel

Last Friday Rabbi Weinberger asked if we can hold prayer in "Broadway style"J . The crowd sang and danced and went wild. I never thought it's possible to make an entire prayer with tunes from musicals ... I was wrong. It was quite an extraordinary experience

In the pic you can see (from the right) my Dear son Ofir., Karlington the devoted  driver and Roni palmer.

The Rabbi was very moving  in his sermon to his 1500 community members when all was mentioned -Obama , Nelson Mandela , Moses , former Prisoner of Zion Sheransky and even the character of Jean valjan from Les Miserables

Ofir Fisher, son of..... :) Also spoke at the synagogue about the OR organization's work led by Ronie Palmer

The Great audience expressed great interest and we hope that the interest will turn to donations and partnerships with various projects in the Negev and Galilee

In this week Prasha Moses is ending Egypt 10 Plagues . will Israel go out of Egypt at last? Stay tuned!:)

In The next two weeks we return with the show that is a great success with the "Gevatron" and in Jan 13 Going on tour again in America... Exciting days ahead.

A bit sick:(

I'm feeling a bit sick this week but it was very important for me to tell you a few new exciting things that happening with me lately..

First I hope you all saw my new trailer for the upcoming movie! It was very emotional and powerful for me and ill hope you'll feel so too

 This week I recorded a new song with the sand artist Ilana Yahav, this art was new to me and it is stunning. Ilana has a half million viewers worldwide and you just can't stop watching her amazing work. 

. Regretfully I said goodbye to my beloved sister that returned to her family in Baltimore

Next week Im going to pack a suitcase again and go to South Africa for a few days

How beautiful it is to be in Israel and see Jerusalem my city of Gold Jerusalem becomes whiteJ

Home sweet home.

This week was a week of recovery... We went back from the  tour and we needed a rest... I would like to thank each and every one of you for the support and love I felt the last few weeks,

 I really enjoyed it, I have met new and old friends and I hope we will see you all next year.

Performing random acts of kindness like this is not only a proven way to elevate your own happiness level, but it can also inspire a chain reaction like the one that happened here. All the more reason to try out your own random act of kindness today, right?

Happy chanuka

Happy chanuka everyone...

We are back home after 6 weeks in Branson Missouri.. 

This is the second year we run of my show "Jerusalem" in Branson.. Next year we will be there again from November 4th to December 6th, in the same place. The Caravelle Theater in Branson.

Last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday,  we filmed my new show for public television stations around America.

A show with many guests like the Osmond brothers, the Lennon sisters, Tony Orlando, The Springfield Boys Choir, who are singing with me 

"Yerushalaim shel zahav" in an amazing performance, a wonderful singer Abbi Rose who sings with me "Adagio" I even sing a song with the legendary Andy Williams who passed away about a year ago.

We hope that the show will start airing in April of 2014. My last show which was filmed in Bet Shean was aired almost 2000 times in the last 4 years.

All arrangements were written and conducted by the talented Tomer Adaddi.

28 musicians from the Springfield symphony took part at the filming. Bob Williams directed and Jimmy Osmond produced.

All of us are very exited to see the results of the filming...

Three days of very hard work, singing every day for 8 hours.... Now it's time to light the chanuka candles with the family and have a good rest.

Also heard this week that the short movie we shot some time ago about a holocaust survivor who immigrated to America is in final stage of editing.

Can't wait to see this movie too..

Working Hard

This week we were in Los Angeles for the show with my good friend in Beverly Hills ... Cantor Arik Wollheim. The Concert was amazing

Yesterday I recorded a duet with Andy Williams who passed away last year. I am going to sing with him when he sings the theme song from the movie Love Story- on the screen. Love story is also the name of the song..

Sunday will be dedicated to filming, until then shows every night.

The moment I am waiting for is to sit back in my seat on the flight to Israel... It's amazing here but there is no place like home especially when your home is in Israel.

Good news I heard today from my Dear sister that stayed in Israel for couple of months now. My beloved mom is released from the hospital after nearly a month of hospitalization days Thank you Lord for all the blessings you do with me each and every day...

Hi from Branson

Hello

We are in the studio day and night recording the music for the shooting that will be on the 24th, 25th and 26th of November

I want to dedicate this blog to my musical producer Tomer Adaddi, who's doing a wonderful job in such a short time

Within two weeks, he wrote 24 symphonic arrangements (!)  and each more beautiful than the other. He did not sleep for two weeks, Tova my dear wife arrived here a week ago, and we are preparing meals for him that his time will not go to waste... He also eats only kosher, and there are not so many options to find good falafel here :) :) :) I hope his parents won't read my blog, because they will kill me for what I was
doing to their darling

Tomer is a gifted pianist, composer and conductor one of the best I have known. He played, and wrote songs to the top singers in the country - Rita, Shlomi Shabbat , Adam, Shlomit Aharon and much more. 

Now I'm on the verge of hacking into the global market and about to sign a contract with Warner Brothers International

We both feel that we are making history here in Branson Missouri and I'm so glad that God sent him to me as a partner 

From here I want to thank him for the hard work and single-mindedness. Even when my father died a month 

ago, and I was not feeling well, he walked with me hand in hand to make sure that I could leave this place and come to Israel as soon as possible 

I do not think I'd have time to write anything more until after filming, so I separate here, and in the next blog I will write about the flight back to Israel on 27th for the first candle

Hello Again!

This week was very special, especially because my  wife  Tova finally joined me here in Branson, it's  Not so nice to be here alone.. 

Preparations for shooting my show " Jerusalem" are getting into high gear. Tomer Adaddi the musical producer of the show, jimmy Osmond the producer and I are entering to a three weeks of frantic studio work.

The show that Im performing here every evening shows good progress and more and more people are discovering me here where nobody had heard of me

Word of mouth does a good job, because anyone who comes sends his friends .... Come here eight 

million tourists a year and we aim to eventually invite all of them..

Hello Dear Friends

Hard to get back performances after the death of my father three weeks ago . But, life goes on  and busy concert schedule does not permit Currently taking a break

I got back to Branson and its amazing here. Bringing jerusalem to the entire world

Tourists come here from all over the U.S. and all support and love Israel 

 I'm in Miami to participate in the live broadcast television station PBS. The program I took in Beit She'an Valley four years ago is still shown here hundreds of times each year. Today at six o'clock in the State of Florida they will air the show again

I'll be back tomorrow to Branson to  continue preparations for the tour and photo two new programs for PBS. One program will be entirely of songs from musicals . Second program will be the program with songs of Jerusalem and Israeli songs translated into English.

Tomer hadadi , talented music producer work very hard on the orchestrations and recording studio and does .a great job . The guy just brilliant 

Bill Hicks passed away almost 20 years ago, but his words about life still resonate. His time on earth was short. But if he lived by his own advice, I bet it was a good ride

This is an exciting week! ... we started running with my show "Jerusalem" in Branson Missouri.

This is the second year that we are opening in Branson and we

 are hope B"H to be coming here for many years.

Sunday was a sad day for me. I heard that the show " soul doctor" was closed. I saw the show last Thursday

 and I loved it...it brought me back to the days I was singing with and for Reb Shlomo Carlibach. 

And here's the flyer about the cruise we are taking in January...a cruise is the best vacation ever...no phons or computers....sof sof, you can talk to your wife every day...:):) the best food on the biggest ship in the world with great entertainment

Exciting weeks Ahead.

So, my 2 new children cd's are out and they are wonderful, Orit vagenfeld made a beautiful work and im sure your kids will enjoy the perfect stories of the Bible!.

I'm abroad again and we are getting ready to perform in Branson,
 the amazing city who never sleeps..:)                                                                                                      
So many talented people in this city and very worm and happy people

Today I would like to tell you about this Kid who Tried To Kill Himself At Age 15 Then Became A Really Awesome Role Model At 41, Wentworth Miller, star of the old hit show "Prison Break," gave a 

heartbreaking and touching speech for the folks at Human Rights Campaign about his painful road to coming out. At 2:34, he explains what it is really like to be a gay kid in most places. At 6:31, he talks about the FIRST time he tried to kill himself. And at 9:18, he explains why it's so important to speak out

Hope we all learn from this amazing man how the overcome our difficulties and win life..

SUKKOT HOLIDAY

My favorite holiday-Sukkot ... the only one Im always here in Israel With family and friends in the sukkah .. Hours sitting, singing and speaking words of Torah

Jerusalem. sukkot cover and washed in green and gold threads interwoven with the sun through the cracks .. what a sublime feeling

 This year we combined work and pleasure.. Last Sunday heartwarming show with Gevatron in Tel Aviv
when it is full and overflowing

Amazing thing I discovered this week, it turns out that there is a phenomenon of bikers in Canada that
decided to help bystanders who need help, amazing, heartwarming. Worth watching and of course to learn 

Hoshana Rabah tomorrow and we will not be at the Western Wall  as always.. Because of an illness of a close friend ... we will pray closer

Unfortunately I am today in the hospital with my father from this morning

Those special days.

This week was very special. spiritual. The prayers were great in Rosh Hashana, I also had the privilege to blow the shofar this year.

On sunday there was a show in sao paulo Brazil, songs from all kind of musicals , it was in the Hebraica club . the show was with full symphony orchestra , very exciting. the place was full. My personal prepration to this amazing day of Redemption "Yom Kipur" just started and like all of you Im very excited. please take care and mention me with all am israel in you prayers.

Another Busy and emotional week.

This week I was in Warsaw, Poland . Its ten days of singers and cantors from all over the world  sing and play kleyzemer music , very emotional, today was my show in the Jewish Theater the place that was the center of the Ghettho during the war. Those strong words and songs in this special Jewish place. 

Right after the show im going back to my sweet home in israel i miss so much! .In sunday i will be back on my way to brazil.. thats if the things will be o.k. on the middle east. Hope the peace will come soon and a child will never fear of such horrors like those in Syria today. Human beings needs to come together in such times and Defeat evil in all its forms. The Compassion we have in our hearts and minds is more powerfull then any army or Dictator. Look at this guy for example, looks can be decieving .. Musician Dean Zimmer has quite an impressive story to tell

We are a few days before "Rosh Hashana" the world Birthday. May you and your Dear family have a good , Healthy, Strong and Happy year! Love you with all my Heart.

This week was very exciting for me, I performed in front of a large Audience of jews who came from Around the world for five days of lerning and singing (JLI convention ) it was amazing and exciting, this connection between large and diverse audiences , all in Honor of the Torah ..,I am currently in New York filming a movie on the Holocaust , Today the police closed a street here in New York for the filming and all the Decor is "The sixties".. Intresting 

 A story about the Holocaust that happend this week,About  Emery Jacoby , a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor who recently participated in a question-and-answer session on Reddit. After receiving a huge and deeply supportive response from Germany's youth, Jacoby cranked out this brilliant video for his young friends. His line at 0:21 about the German civilization gets me every time

  Hello my Dear friend

I hope you are well, I just came back from a long concert; I thought about all of you, I have no words to thank you for your great support in all our work. I'm sure the reason our paths crossed is no coincidence, it reminds me of a story,

  30 years ago, when Alex and Donna Voutsinas lived in different countries and long before they met and married, they were captured in the same photo at Disney World. That's Donna in front on the right. Alex is in the stroller in the background immediately behind Mr. Smee  .

That fateful realization came just one week before their wedding in 2002. Alex and Donna had been going through old family snapshots. There, in the blurry background of a picture of 5-year-old Donna was 3-year-old Alex being pushed down Main Street at the same moment in 1980 by his father. This cute story shows us that there are bigger things that crosses our life, we should be thankful and happy in any way we can.
